As a Child and Youth Care Practitioner, Carmyn believes strongly in taking a strengths-based and youth centered approach to her work with youth. Carmyn brings a wealth of child and youth work experience to the role and a commitment to the Routes community through her previous roles at Routes including her most recent work as Youth Resiliency Specialist. "It is so important that we advocate for our youth as they build peer relationships and find their strengths and passions during their formative years. Routes gives youth the space to feel a sense of belonging and form connections with their community, which is key in building their resiliency."

Mohamed is a student in the Masters of Applied Health Sciences program at Brock University. We are thrilled to have Mohamed's youth work support: "Every person is born with the right to be celebrated, respected, and honoured. I can’t wait to help create a positive environment for youth to grow and develop into strong, compassionate, and valuable members of our community.”
